On Friday, August 25th, 2023, Mr. Anuwat Phothinam, Deputy Director for Operations of the Land Development Department, served as the chairman of the closing ceremony for the practical training program on the course "Biological Soil Quality Assessment Techniques in Agricultural Areas"
The training program, which took place from August 21st to 25th, 2023, was a collaboration between the Land Development Department, the IRD Institute, the INRA Institute, and CESRA (Center of Excellence on Soil and Water Conservation Research in the Asian Region). The event was held at the Land Development Department in Bangkok and the Research Center for Soil and Water Conservation in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
The participants included officers from the Land Development Department, international researchers under the collaboration network between the Land Development Department and IRD Institute, as well as CESRA. During the ceremony, Deputy Director Anuwat Phothinam honored the trainees with certificates and encouraged the exchange of project experiences to further define work directions between academic professionals and field practitioners.
Mr. Anuwat remarked, "The academic knowledge gained from this training will be applied to enhance and apply techniques effectively in our work. We will utilize appropriate technologies and successful academic achievements to assess the biological soil quality in agricultural areas, thereby improving our practical implementation."
He concluded by expressing gratitude to the speakers, executives, academics, officers of the Land Development Department, and all involved parties for their participation in the practical training program, which contributed to its successful outcome.
